Continued Fleet Replacement Within an Existing Contract

We’ve recently completed another batch of vehicles for the Kensington & Chelsea contract, with new large and small RCVs being fitted as part of ongoing fleet replacement.

All work was carried out at Dennis Eagle, with vehicles delivered fully prepared and ready for service.

Clear, Functional Messaging

Using council-supplied artwork, the graphics focus on simple, direct messaging, including information around twice-weekly collections, helping residents quickly understand the service.

Alongside the main graphics, all vehicles were fitted with cab graphics and full safety sticker sets, which form a standard part of every install.

A Long-Standing Working Relationship

This project also carries a bit of history for us; Kensington & Chelsea was the first RCV fleet we worked on for SUEZ, and the first time I visited one of their depots.

The Pembroke Road site in Kensington made an impression straight away. It’s effectively a multi-storey car park built for RCVs, the scale of it, combined with the number of vehicles moving through, was something else!

What stood out just as much was the people. There was a real sense of pride in the job, in the vehicles, how they were maintained, and how everything was kept, which isn’t something you necessarily expect given the nature of the work.

It’s one of those visits that stuck. Working on the fleet again now, years later, feels like a bit of a full circle moment, even if the designs have moved on and become simpler over time.
