Waste collection vehicles with South Gloucestershire graphics parked outdoors showing clear recycling messaging

Ongoing Fleet Replacement Across Multiple Vehicle Types

We’re currently partway through a programme of fleet replacements for South Gloucestershire, covering around 30 vehicles, including a mix of large and small RCVs, alongside specialist vehicles used for other waste streams.

The rollout began last year and is due for completion shortly, with vehicles being installed as they come through.

Simple, Direct Messaging That Works

Working from council-led direction, the messaging across the fleet has been kept deliberately simple, with clear statements such as “Most black bag waste is recyclable” and prompts to download the council app.

It’s not about overloading the vehicles with information, just making sure the key messages are easy to read and understand in day-to-day use.

Consistent Application Across the Fleet

As with all our fleet work, the focus is on consistent application, durable materials, and ensuring each vehicle is ready for service as soon as it enters operation.

With multiple vehicles being completed over a short period, maintaining that consistency across different types and installs is key to keeping the fleet looking aligned.
