This project was a bit different to the usual vehicle or signage work. Mobad was asked to wrap 30 light covers for a potato storage facility, using green vinyl to help reduce sprouting while still allowing enough light for safe working.
It’s a simple solution, but a good example of how vinyl can be used in ways people don’t always associate with a sign company. The brief wasn’t about branding, it was about function, durability and getting a practical result that solved a real problem.
Jobs like this are a reminder that a lot of what we do is about understanding materials and how they behave, then applying that knowledge in useful ways. If you’ve got a practical challenge and aren’t sure how to tackle it, it’s often worth asking, even if it doesn’t look like a “signage job” at first glance.
