We Don’t Just Wrap Vans: A Last-Minute Budweiser Transformation
There is nothing quite like a last-minute job to focus the mind.
Just two days before England’s first World Cup match, 12 wooden table and bench sets and nine tall tables arrived at our workshop. They needed to be completely transformed for a temporary Budweiser promotion at Worthing Football Club and they needed to be ready almost immediately.
AB InBev needed a team that could step in, and we were happy to help.
A temporary wrap with a very tight deadline
The Budweiser graphics were only intended to remain in place for the duration of the World Cup promotion. Once the tournament was over, the tables would be rewrapped locally in Worthing FC branding.
The furniture would be used in a busy football club environment, with drinks, food, regular cleaning and plenty of people moving around it so we chose a high-grab vinyl to give the graphics the best possible adhesion to the wooden benches and tables. For the table tops, we paired it with a textured matt to provide additional protection and anti-slip properties for those spilt drinks!
Turning plain furniture into a Budweiser-branded space
The scale of the job only became fully apparent once all 12 table and bench sets and nine tall tables were inside the workshop.
Each piece needed to be cleaned, prepared and wrapped, with the graphics carefully positioned so the branding remained consistent across the different sizes and shapes. The bold red Budweiser artwork completely changed the appearance of the furniture. What had arrived as a collection of fairly ordinary wooden tables and benches left looking like a coordinated branded hospitality area, ready for supporters arriving at Worthing FC.
With just two days between the furniture arriving and England’s opening fixture, there was no room for delays, it was a proper team effort to prepare, wrap and finish everything in time.
Once everything was finished, Frenni Transport collected the pallets from us at 4pm and had them on site in Worthing by 10am the following morning, it was a tight turnaround from start to finish, but everything arrived ready for the promotion in time.
Vinyl wrapping is not only for vehicles
We are best known for vehicle graphics and fleet branding, but this project is a good example of what else can be achieved with the right vinyl, preparation and installation.
Furniture wrapping can be used to create temporary promotional spaces, update existing fixtures or completely change the appearance of tables, counters, display units and other commercial surfaces.
