Quality Management in Large Format Print – Mobad Passes Quality & Environmental Audit with Flying Colours

We’ve just completed our annual SQMAS and BS 8555 audit – covering both quality management and environmental standards – and we’re absolutely chuffed to report that we passed with flying colours.

The auditor’s comments were some of the most positive we’ve received to date. The report highlighted the “professionalism of the system management throughout”, praised our KPI monitoring and training processes, and described the way we handle non-conformities as “especially worthy of note” – which, if you've ever had to log root causes on a deadline, you’ll know is high praise indeed.

For a small business like ours, external audits are a valuable checkpoint. They offer an independent view of how we’re doing – not just whether our paperwork is in order, but whether our systems genuinely support the way we work. It’s a chance to demonstrate that we’re not standing still, and that we’re committed to getting better year after year.

But here’s the thing: passing an audit is one thing. Living and breathing those standards day in, day out, is what really matters. At Mobad, we treat every single job like it’s our first. We show up wanting to impress – whether we’re wrapping 20 RCVs for SUEZ at different depots across the country, or making some tidy signage for a small company just down the road from us in Whitland.

The report also recognised how far we’ve come:

“The auditor was particularly impressed as to how the system has developed… It is clear that continual improvement is present throughout.”

And that’s exactly what we’re proud of. The commitment, the culture, and the consistency – not just to tick a box for the audit, but because it’s how we want to do business.
