Why quality matters after the job leaves our workshop

A sticker, sign or vehicle graphic can look perfect on day one - the real test is what happens afterwards.
Does it stay firmly attached? Does the colour remain consistent? Was the right material used for the surface and environment? Can it be reproduced accurately months or years later?
That is why MOBAD operates a formal Quality Management System and maintains registration under the SQMAS quality management standard.
Following our independent inspection in June 2026, we were delighted to be recommended for continuing registration.

What the inspection covered
The auditor looked at how we manage work from the first enquiry through to artwork approval, production, installation, dispatch and invoicing.
They also reviewed our quality policies, objectives, job records, staff training, suppliers, risk assessments and internal monitoring. Crucially, they looked at what happens when something goes wrong, how we record it, work out why it happened and make sure it is dealt with properly. Our quality objectives were described as:
“Excellent, well monitored and consistently completed.”
The auditor was also impressed by the way we record and monitor problems. No major nonconformities were reported and no corrective actions were raised during the inspection.
What does that mean for our customers?
In practical terms, it means we are not relying on memory or leaving important details to chance. Requirements are confirmed before we begin, approved artwork and job information are retained, and materials are selected according to the surface and environment in which they will be used.
It also means that when a customer returns for another vehicle, a replacement sign or a repeat batch of stickers, we already have a reliable record of what was produced before. That is particularly important for fleets, multi-site businesses and long-running contracts where consistency matters. And when something does not perform as expected, we do not simply replace it and move on. We look at what happened, identify the cause and use that information to improve future work.
Quality is more than appearance
A cheap sticker that fails quickly is not good value. A vehicle graphic that lifts causes disruption and unnecessary replacement costs. A sign made from the wrong material may fade, crack or become unreadable far sooner than expected. Good quality starts with understanding where a product will be used, what it needs to withstand and how long it is expected to last. It continues through design, material selection, production, installation and record keeping. The report concluded that:
“The QMS is well maintained and clearly benefits the company.”
That is the bit that matters to us.
The system helps us produce vehicle graphics, stickers and signage more consistently, learn properly when problems arise and keep improving the work we deliver.
